When you feel like your life is falling apart, your heart is quietly sobbing, you’re tired of crying yourself to sleep, and there’s no chocolate brownie ice cream or taco bell chalupas around to cheer you up, what do you do?
This is honestly the most stressful part of my life.
Sitting here and knowing that practically every single one of your friends has been accepted into A college except you. And you wait here, feeling like every burden of the world is on your shoulders, as you try to tackle the obstacles of schoolwork, college, and life. You try to take the comfort of your close friends who will listen to everything your going through, but sometimes you just wanna curl up into a ball and sleep through everything.
Isolation is something all humans fear - because we would probably never be able to survive living alone. Even going back to the earliest of times, we always hear the story of Adam and Eve; we hardly ever hear accounts of their lives alone. That feeling of isolation is buried within all of us, whether we openly confront it or push it down and try to forget about it. Not being able to share your feelings with anybody, pushing away the emotions that you long to bring forth, and the things you WISH you could say to somebody, but just don’t have the courage to…I’m sure these are every teen’s, if not every person’s fears. Yet, we need to have hope that someday, we’ll have someone to embrace us and rid our minds of these fears…someone who will hold your hand and help you cross this difficult path of loneliness and fear. And that one person will give you the courage to pass through ANY obstacle in your life and celebrate your success with a smile. Sometimes, even if that one person is in your life, you may push them away in fear of letting someone get too close to you, or simply because you’re too blind to notice their care and love. Yet, once you figure out how special that person is, you’ll want to hold onto them forever. As for myself, I can gladly say I think I’ve found that someone
